Q: What is Don’t Shoot the Messenger Cookies?
We’re the unapologetic cookie company that says what you’re really thinking. Whether it’s “Sorry (but not really),”“You’re my favorite mistake,” or “You’re stronger than you know,” our cookies deliver the message with frosting and flair.Q: How does it work?
Create a message you would like to add to the cookie and we’ll hand-pipe it in royal icing, pack it up cute, and deliver it for you. -
Q: Can I write anything I want?
Almost!We love creative, cheeky, even roasty messages. But we won’t do threats, hateful language, or anything too over-the-top offensive. Basically, keep it fun (but not felony-worthy). Remember: our service isn't for harassment or intimidation of any kind. Make them laugh (or blush), not call their lawyer.
Q: Do you offer custom orders for events?
Yes! Birthdays, weddings, corporate events, mass apologies — we’re here for all of it. Send us a detailed message of what you need through our CONTACT page for a quote.Q: How much text can I fit on a cookie?
We recommend 1–8 words for best readability. Short and punchy works best. If your message is too long, we'll help you edit it down. -
Q: Can I really send a cookie anonymously?
Yep! Choose the anonymous option at checkout, and the recipient won’t know it was you (unless you tell them). Perfect for secret admirers, frenemies, or just for fun.Q: How does the reply feature work?
Every anonymous cookie will include a QR code that lets the recipient send a cookie back. When they scan it, they'll be taken to our website to place their reply order.Important: They’ll need to enter the original Order # that is on the package so we know who to deliver it to — while keeping their identity a secret. It’s like anonymous cookie tag.

Q: How long does shipping take?
Typically 3–5 business days for production plus shipping time. Custom orders may take a bit longer — we'll keep you updated!Q: Do you offer local pickup or delivery?

Q: What ingredients do you use?
We bake from scratch with real butter, flour, sugar, eggs, and homemade royal icing. No weird stuff here.Q: Are your cookies allergen-free?
No. Our cookies contain wheat, eggs, dairy, and are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts. Please contact us with specific allergen questions.Q: Are they vegan or gluten-free?

Q: Do you accept returns?
Nope — it’s cookies, not shoes. But if something is wrong with your order, email us and we'll make it right.Q: Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel within 24 hours of ordering. After that, we're probably elbows-deep in frosting. We start making cookies within 24 hours, so contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.Q: Do you guarantee delivery by a certain date?
We do our best to ship on time, but postal delays are out of our control. Please order early for special occasions! -

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and purchase of our products. By placing an order or using our site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Cottage Food Law Notice
We operate under the Texas Cottage Food Law. Our products are homemade and not subject to state inspection, except for complaint-based inspections.
2. Orders & Payment
All orders must be paid in full at time of purchase.
Once your order is confirmed, it cannot be changed or canceled except at our discretion.
3. Shipping & Delivery
Orders are shipped to the address you provide. We are not responsible for delays or loss due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
Shipping timelines are estimates. We are not liable for carrier delays.
4. Food Allergies
Our products are made in a home kitchen that may process common allergens such as wheat, eggs, dairy, nuts, and soy. We do not guarantee any product is allergen-free.
5. Refunds
Each cookie order is made especially for you. For that reason, we’re unable to offer refunds once baking has begun. If you need to make changes or request a refund, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us within 24 hours with photos. We may offer a replacement or store credit at our discretion.
6. Messages on Cookies
Our company specializes in delivering messages on cookies, including anonymous messages. We reserve the right to refuse orders containing:
Threatening or violent language
Hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content
Obscene or overly explicit language
Content violating any laws
If you submit prohibited content, we may cancel your order without refund.
7. Prohibited Use – Protective Orders
Our service may not be used to contact or deliver messages to any individual who is protected under a restraining order, protective order, emergency protective order (EPO), or any other court-issued order restricting communication or contact. By using our service, you agree that you are not in violation of any such order. We reserve the right to deny service, cooperate with legal authorities, and take appropriate action if we determine or are informed that our platform is being used in violation of this policy. We know this probably won't happen, but we have to say it.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including images, designs, text, and logos, is our property and may not be used without permission.
9. Privacy
We respect your privacy. Please see our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information.
10. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our products or services.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with a new effective date.
